Content Autopilot — Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect your name, email, website address and chosen topic when you request a free sample, plus account details if you become a client.
We use it to create your sample, run the service, and follow up about it — nothing else.
To generate content we share your website's public content and topic with our AI provider (Anthropic) and host on Netlify. We don't sell your data or use advertising trackers.
You can ask to see or delete your data any time: info@decopilot.ai.

This policy explains how DecoPilot Ltd ("we", "us", "DecoPilot"), whose registered office is at 349 Rugby Road, Burbage, Hinckley, Leicestershire LE10 2NB, collects and uses personal data in connection with our "Content Autopilot" service and website (decopilot.ai and the Content Autopilot demo app). We are the data controller for that personal data. We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1.What we collect

We do not intentionally collect special-category data, and you should not send it to us.

2.How and why we use it (lawful basis)

To create your free sample and provide the Service — performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one.
To follow up about a sample you requested and tell you about the Service — our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (you can opt out any time).
To administer your subscription, billing and support — performance of our contract with you.
To keep the site secure and working — our legitimate interest in running a safe, reliable service.
To meet legal and tax obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.

3.Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We use a small number of trusted providers ("processors") to run the Service:

Google Workspace	Our email, used to correspond with you

We may also disclose data where required by law, or to protect our rights.

4.International transfers

Some of our providers (such as Anthropic and Netlify) are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements / Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5.How long we keep it

We keep demo/enquiry data (name, email, website, topic) for up to 24 months from your last contact, then delete it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or you become a client. Client account and correspondence data is kept for the life of the contract; financial records are kept for 6 years as required by UK tax law. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.

6.Cookies

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Essential cookies may be set by our hosting provider for security and performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential cookies are needed for the site to work properly.

7.Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access a copy of your data; have it corrected; have it erased; restrict or object to its processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email info@decopilot.ai and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8.Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including limiting who can access it and using reputable, secured providers. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the latest version, and significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
